Definition of a Goose (or a Get Out of Sh*t Expert)

Team TPD loves nothing more than meeting a good goose when they’re on a job.

A goose is someone who gets people out of sh*t with style. They’re worth their salt. They know their onions. They’re worth their weight in gold and they do all of their good work with a kind heart and a strong stomach.

And despite that slightly nauseating mixed metaphor, we recommend the heck out of these individuals to anyone we can.

So we wanna say thank you, geese

Thank you for being a friend. Thanks for the help you didn’t need to give but did. For providing a leg up to our team and our clients’ teams in times of need.

Have a gander at these bona fide, certified geese…

Phil de Jong

Tec Tac Toe (Europe)

Phil De Jong – known as Big Daddy to his friends – is a guy you rely on. Pure, kind, honest, helpful, hilarious. Someone you know has got your back no matter what. Treat him with the same courtesy as he gives you and the man will go above and beyond to deliver even when it seems impossible. For that reason, he’s a Certified GOOSE and our first call when SH!T needs to get done.

Brannon Howell

Live Event Solutions (USA)

Laid back Floridian and super talented technical director/Lighting designer. Give him a crazy brief that could just be coloured lines on a sketch, a picture pointing to an object with attached voice note, a throwaway one liner in casual conversation and he will respond with “I got you brother”. You know you are in safe hands and things will turn out incredible. Has a real passion for problem solving and invests so much in making random and often very last minute ideas become reality. A loveable giant of a man.

Michael Johnson-Weeks

Live Event Solutions (USA)

Is there a piece of technology/software that can do this ridiculous thing or idea our clients have? Michael will know about it. Do you know an expert producer or show caller that can handle the biggest of shows. Michael is your guy. If you drop and break the touch function of your phone day 1 on site, then have to use a USB mouse and keyboard attached to your phone for a few days. Michael has also done this. The crown jewel of event PMs. Never met anyone so dedicated to delivering events on behalf of their clients as Michael. Also he likes baseball, we believe that’s a bit like cricket with hot dogs.
